With the advancement of technology communication with audiences has never been easier. However, with the simplicity of accessibility of information comes with negative impacts such as fake news. Sometimes news or information is published quickly without obtaining accurate facts or created to influence the audience's perceptions. Today, it is imperative that one is knowledgeable in media literacy. Media literacy is, " the ability to identify different types of media and understand the messages they're sending."(Common Sense Media Organization, n.d.). Proper training needs to be put in place so one can easily navigate social media and information without falling victim to "fake news".
